Polling
America: The
TIPP Indices
In February 2001
TIPP embarked on creating a new standard for measuring consumer sentiment
in the country- the Economic Optimism Index. Together with the Presidential
Leadership and National Outlook, these three Indices form the core of
our Polling America efforts, tracking public opinion on the economy,
the President and the state of the union.
This year TIPP
continues to work with its partners to bring the monthly tracking poll
indexing Americans' optimism concerning national and economic issues.
There are three TIPP Indices, Economic Optimism, Presidential Leadership,
and the National Outlook.
The
following methodology gives readers
