TIPP Election Tracking Poll

Beginning October 12th TIPP will start publishing the results of our daily tracking poll on the presidential race and will continue through the evening of November 1st – just hours before voters begin casting their ballots for the Presidency of the United States.

For just $175, subscribers will receive daily updates on the presidential horserace in both two-way and three-way races. The results of our daily polls are not available anywhere else. Non-subscribers will only be able to see top line results as reported in the national media.

TIPP’s daily poll results – which are based on 1,200 completed questionnaires – are presented for likely voters. Surveys are conducted by telephone over a 4-day period using RDD (random digit dial) technology.

Subscribers receive the following:

  • Daily Executive Brief – a daily summary of the poll’s findings and updated tracking information.
  • Cross Tabulations – showing the results of 4 questions (2 and 3-way horserace, intensity of support and expectations as to who will win the White House) crossed by the demographics mentioned above.
  • Reports are delivered via email every day at 10AM sharp.

The core questions that go into the TIPP poll, as well as the demographic groups by which they are analyzed, are shown below:

4. How OFTEN would you say you TYPICALLY vote in Presidential elections? Would you say you vote Always, nearly always, some of the time, Seldom, Never or this is your first time voting.

5. If the 2004 election for United States President were held today and the following were candidates for whom would you vote? Would you say Democrat John Kerry or Republican George W. Bush?

6. If the 2004 election for United States President were held today and the following were candidates for whom would you vote? Would you say Democrat John Kerry or Republican George W. Bush or Independent Ralph Nader?

7. Do you support <above candidate> strongly or moderately? Support strongly, support moderately.

8. Regardless of your candidate preference, who do you expect to win the presidential election in November? Would you say John Kerry, George Bush, it is too close to call or you don't know enough to answer one way or other.
