Bush's approval ratings fell by one point this month, going from
41.4 in November to 40.4 in December.
The biggest decline came from the Presidential Leadership component,
which fell from 45.9 in November to 43.7 in December, a 2.2 point
(or 4.8%) drop.

The Job Approval component
fell 0.4 points this mont.
The Favorability component fell by a similar amount (0.4 points),
slipping from 39.6 in November to 39.3 in December.

The Presidential Leadership Index
components deal with respondents' general favorability and job
approval of the President, as well as strength of Presidential leadership
Bush has exhibited so far.
For all indices, the higher the score,
the more favorable the outlook. Responses to each question range from
0 to 100. Anything above a score of 50 gives a positive outlook while
anything below 50, gives a negative one.
